The mystery orchid has finally opened! It spent the summer under the linden tree in a willow wall basket with only a bit of sphagnum moss tucked around the roots. It seemed happy so I did not repot it when I bought it inside. Ever so slowly it out out a flowe stalk and the first blossoms opened today.
