Coming through US Customs between Creston and Bonner's Ferry, the agent pointed out the spirals of smoke in the mountains duw west. A few weeks ago they had to evacuate due to the fires but the farmers came together to make fire breaks and saved the day! The smoke was bad as we headed south and got worse so we did not return to Libby Creek, and pushed on to te east to get ahead of it.
